I've added 5 more black and white male nudes.  I thnk I will shoot 2 more models and then leave this subject for now.  Back to scenes, portraits and still-lives with the camera, and pick up stone carving again and try to finish a few more of the smaller pieces.  I have loved seeing all of the work here on deviant art.  So much acommplished stuff.  It's inspiring and also gives me ideas for my own work.  Good to be here.

I've entered 4 male nudes.  The challenge, because photographs can be so literal, is how to print a male nude that is specific and yet poetic.  That is the search.  I have also turned my eye to sights and places in my own hometown of Northport, NY.  I'll post them at a later date.

Aug 20, 2014 I've posted 4 nude male watercolors.  I am hoping to start a series of young male nudes in black and white photography and here is what I seek.  A certain grace and understated beauty in the nude male form.  I usually seek models that are ordinary.  Not musclebound.  Yet have a natural grace and quiet centeredness to them.  I am thinking "figure in a landscape"  and "studio nudes".  The search for models is on. Although I have been drawing nudes for a very long time (35 yrs), nudes in photographs are a new subject for me.  I'll see if one art informs the other.
